I'm so involved in Kent Dance that I sometimes forget I'm at uni to get a degree.

  • Highlight of the Kent Dance Year: I love being part of Kent Dance, and the show at the end of the year is my highlight as everyone pulls together and the show is always amazing!

Nicola Taylor

Treasurer: Nicola Taylor (nlt4@kent.ac.uk)

  • Age: 21
  • Year & Course: Fourth Year – Drama
  • Role in the Society: Keeping on top of the budget and making sure all incomings and outgoings are properly dealt with. My role will be particularly important around the time of the show when you will need to claim money towards show costs.
I also see myself as the representative on the committee for those of you who have never danced before. I literally didn’t have a clue when I joined the society but since then I’ve done jazz, Irish and tap classes. I was in last year’s show and had an absolute ball. So don’t be put off if you’re a beginner because there are loads of ways of getting involved in the society, no matter what level you are.
  • Favourite style of dance: Since joining the society I've really enjoyed tap and am definitely going to carry it on after I graduate
  • What else do you enjoy at uni? Going to the Venue with the girls on a Wednesday night
